Studio Diary – May 18, 2008
Several song ideas have recently sprouted. Some of these are just “seeds” consisting of 16-32 bars of music and a paragraph of lyrics to full blown productions minus vocal and guitar tracks. Our growing list new songs are kept here.
Finished the majority of writing ”The State We’re In “. It’s in a kind of revision state. It’s taken a hard right turn from the initial concept and gone very electronic eagerly begging to be remixed, folded, spindled and mutilated by anyone who enjoys that sort of thing.
Bringing back an old one out of the mend closet that hasn’t seen the light of day in a few years. “Obsidian” is back on the burner. Heavily trip-hop influenced song that suddenly has some new life.
Getting as much prepwork done as possible before we take off on our recording “road show”.
